Dear all,

I’m happy to announce that my martial arts and Qi Gong teacher, Matteo Pepe-Espert, will be coming back to Oslo for a new seminar weekend, this time on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of November. As some of you already know, Matteo is the main instructor and founder of the EPHEDRA School of Chinese Martial Arts and Qi Gong in Paris. With more than 50 years of experience, he continues to teach with clarity, precision, and a deep sense of commitment to the practice.

The weekend program will include a Nunchaku-focused Kung Fu seminar on Saturday, and a Qi Gong seminar on Sundaycentred on the 49-movement form of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong.

Saturday, 8 November – Kung Fu (Nunchaku)

• 09:30–15:30 – adults (with one-hour lunch break)
• 15:30–17:30 – children and teenagers (if at least 10 are registered)

The Saturday seminar will be dedicated to Nunchaku, one of the classical weapons of Chinese martial arts. We will learn how to strike, block, dodge, and counter using foam Nunchaku, so we can train with contact without risk of injury. We will also take time to review proper handling and movement technique.

Each participant must have their own foam Nunchaku. I will place an order before the seminar, so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to buy one.

Sunday, 9 November – Qi Gong (49-Movement Form of DYYSG)

• 09:30–16:00 – with one-hour lunch break

This Qi Gong form was the first created by Professor Zhang Guang De, founder of the Daoyin Yangsheng Gong system, at a time in his life when he was seriously ill. It is designed to support and strengthen the health of the lungs, stomach, and intestines, and to aid with chronic respiratory and digestive conditions.

During the seminar, we will mainly focus on the second part of the form, which explores circulating energy through the meridians, and we will take time to visualise the meridians involved in each movement. We will also begin to explore the third part of the form.

As always, the seminar is open to everyone, regardless of level or experience.

Prices
• One adult seminar: 750 NOK
• Full weekend: 1,200 NOK
• Children’s seminar (Saturday): 300 NOK

The location will be confirmed closer to the date, but it will most likely be at Drammensveien 288 (Forskningsrådet), Oslo.

To register, please send an email confirming your participation and make your payment via VIPPS to NOFØDRA (814685). If you’re purchasing a Nunchaku, please indicate that in your message as well.

I hope many of you will be able to attend, so that we can continue working with the material in our regular classes afterward. Please also feel free to share the information with anyone you think might be interested.

Wishing you a beautiful evening and looking forward to seeing you soon,
Erwan
