Dear all, Saturday, 18 April – Kung Fu (Nunchaku)
I’m happy to announce that my martial arts and Qi Gong teacher, Matteo Pepe-Espert, will be coming back to Oslo for a new seminar weekend on Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April. As many of you already know, Matteo is the main instructor and founder of the EPHEDRA School of Chinese Martial Arts and Qi Gong in Paris, and has more than 50 years of experience in Chinese martial arts.
This time the weekend will include a Nunchaku seminar in Kung Fu on Saturday, and a Taiji/Qi Gong seminar with a fan on Sunday, based on material from Daoyin Yangsheng Gong.
Location: Drammensveien 288 (Forskningsrådet), Oslo
• 09:30–15:30 – adults (with one-hour lunch break)
• 15:30–17:30 – children and teenagers
• 15:30–17:30 – children and teenagers
The Saturday seminar will be dedicated to Nunchaku, one of the classical weapons of Chinese martial arts. We will explore both combat applications and artistic movements, including strikes, blocks, evasions and counterattacks, as well as coordination and fluidity in more aesthetic sequences.
Training will be done with foam Nunchaku, so that we can practise safely and with contact. Each participant must have their own foam Nunchaku. I will organise a group order before the seminar, so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to purchase one.
The artistic part of the practice is usually performed with a wooden Nunchaku (with rope). Those who would like to try it may bring their own, or let me know if they would like to purchase one.
Sunday, 19 April – Taiji / Qi Gong (Fan)
Location: Majorstuen Flerbrukshall, Middelthuns gate 26, 0368 Oslo
• 09:30–16:00 – with one-hour lunch break
Sunday’s seminar will focus on Yangsheng Taijishan, the first fan choreography created by Professor Zhang Guangde, founder of the Daoyin Yangsheng Gong system.
Yangsheng Taijishan is one of the longer sequences of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong and is directly inspired by Taiji Quan. The fan is one of the many “weapons” used in Qi Gong practice and helps focus the mind and intention during movement.
The form is very aesthetic, and practising with the fan develops flexibility, precision and agility.
As always, the seminar is open to everyone, regardless of experience or level.
Prices
• One adult seminar: 750 NOK
• Full weekend: 1,200 NOK

Wishing you all a beautiful day, and looking forward to seeing you soon.
Erwan
